{Chrysler 300} ac issues

thinking more on this , there really are two branches to it — as yes 414 is expensive , or 12 . The 12 in a can sitting somewhere is already made —manufactured from long ago and whether using it adds to pollution is at best debatable — as one day in the future the stuff will get out . Unless stored for 1000 years etc .
So those are answers for an all stock system working right .

134 conversion good too —if done right but a little less cooling . Seals too , as well as oil on compressor must be good for 134 . Says rebuild compressor to me for 134 . If you buy a rebuilt is it for 134 or 12 ?

But if not concours and top shelf reliable cooling is the goal , a bulletproof more efficient modern Sanden 200$ compressor R134 and reworking the core inlet for the correct 134 expansion valve , new lines etc would be ideal .
Someone already makes a Sanden to hemi 300 mount , B block easily done , so big issue is adapting correct valve and modern fittings / lines to condenser and especially core / new expansion Valve . We could do the rest actually if we had that , or hopefully a new special 134 valve setup just screws on to our core inlet .
Then we have ac as good as any new Caddy , 134 , and no grief with known dog mopar V2 compressor and clutches . Big and heavy , obsolete too .
You guys in Texas might talk to Vintage air or Old Air about such a kit , along with resto committee . They would need an F car forca few days and maybe a loose AC core to figure it out . I would buy one .
