Re: {Chrysler 300} Distributor wiring

I think Bernbaum may have the stock parts ? The ground is riveted I think — have  to pull apart everything ( ok) . you need that to avoid current going through central ball bearing which pits the balls .
Looking elsewhere there is silicone covered very hi flex wire ( called that ) on small rolls , also  called test prod wire . 16 or 18 ga? I found a roll years ago by accident I think  on ebay . I Soldered small crimp eye ends ( for #6 screw end )—  regular ones are too large on that end) and small heat shrink over crimp barrel . The stock woven ones do crumble .
Never ever tape it ! that jams the vacuum advance . it has to flex freely  .
This is something we as a club should reproduce in silicone wire ?

Hi All,

Does anyone have a recommendation on a specific wire type to be used when rebuilding a 57 300C distributor? I am looking for a very flexible wire to renew all the internal wiring, ground strap to plate, power wires to points.
