Re: {Chrysler 300} '59 300E passenger side window motor

i did not know about different regulators but the motors and gearboxes of every one i ever dealt with interchange . There may be R and L gear cases but parts the same ?
The motors come it two lengths , the longer one had more torque and was maybe used originally in the rear regulators as they are harder to move , as they get near the top . But have seen that all mixed up too  , possibly due to servicing them . A problem area , both the motor getting water in it by running along shaft and the nylon gear in the gear box splitting .
Seal the water thrower plastic thing to shaft with weatherstrip cement .
especially important if motor end faces up .
i drill an .060 hole in center of back cover of those too just in case , let’s you get one drop of oil ( no more!) in too . if cap fills with water , common —-it destroys the bearing and metal spring that holds it .
Do you know it is motor , and what is wrong with it ? Seldom windings —often shaft seized to bearings or support setup destroyed at brush end . If not — sometimes can fix it by freeing up . Sometimes you cannot , bearing ball pulls out solid to shaft . circuit breaker contact thing there can rust up too .
i do not know how late in years that motor design with two wires black and green was used in mopars . . but have encountered ? later design where whole motor has a rubber like waterproofing . Maybe used and improved well up into 60’s ? Or was a service part ?
anyone know how late into 60’s it was used?  Later one is probably a lot better .

Chrysler used two vendors for power windows in 1957-9: Auto-Lite and Dura. Each had its own unique regulator. You need to know which one you need. The best way to check is to look at what you have on the driver's side.
