Thank you Jean-Yves, I appreciate your help. My existing weather-strip on this car is fossilized, and I couldn't move anything around enough to evaluate without damaging what is left of it.

I'm trying to preserve any waterproofing on the car up until I was to replace the headliner. I did purchase all the weather-stripping already, but it looks like the headliner must now proceed that project.

There is no attacking one project on this car without a daisy chain of subsequent projects!

The side headliner chrome trim is held on with screws, so don't pry off the moulding you will damage it!

The screws are hidden. You first have to remove the channel rubber weatherstrip that seals the top of the door glass and quarter glass. Under the weatherstrip you will find screws that hold the stainless channel. Remove all those screws ( maybe 10 on each side?) and remove that channel. Once that channel is removed, you will see the screws that hold the interior chrome piece.

May I ask for advice on removing the chrome side headliner trim on my K 2dr hardtop? I can't find any screws, and would like to ask for input before I bend up the trim trying the Edison method.

Would I start first with removing the rear pieces and slip these off, or pry them off?

Right now I need to get the smaller front most pieces off so I can replace the wind cords.
