Hey everyone in 300 land. I have an irrelevant question for many, but not for me. Thing is, when I just disassembled the cylinder heads on my 300conv .. I wonder if there is anything special that reveals if they would have been disassembled earlier in life?? Looked closely at all bolt heads, stud nuts, etc but can not see any traces. However, the cylinder head gaskets are attached like the metal, sticks realy ugly on head side., appear to be three layers with a similar metallic outer layer, this layer has a fine pattern such as a fine-mesh checkerboard pattern. When I scrape off the gasket from the head, numbers that have been blackened from the gasket to the head appear as a stamp. I have a picture if anyone can decide. Bytheway all looks nice so far valves combustion chambers top of pistons etc no damage. Rockers i pulled the pluggs cleaned and restored, light wear on shafts no problem there.
