Hi Mick,
Hope Martha and you are doing well!
I'm sitting here watching the final episode of History Channel's "Grant" documentary. Seeing the recreation of General Lee's surrender to General Grant at the McLean House at Appomattox Station brings back a sweet memory of our visit there from your gracious hosting of our 300 Club's Fall 2017 Lynchburg, VA Meet. Leading up to our visit there, our Club member, Emmett Turner gave a riveting history of the events leading up to this Civil War conclusion. As I'm watching this, I still visualize our Aussie 300 Club buddy, Mick Maxwell, holding court and telling his stories on the veranda. Thanks again for organizing our tour of that historic house, the American Civil War Museum, the National D-Day Memorial and Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest retreat. It was a most memorable Meet!
Noel
