Re: [Chrysler300] the fastest ride

Way back when at the Gatlinburg, TN meet in the early 80’s On our way home we were on a 5 or 6 lane highway. There was McCurdy in his “F convert”, Jess Miklas in his “C”, Curtis Thompson in his Black “J” and myself

In my “Ram K Hardtop” Sequoia Green ( THE HULK) going at 50 mph. We are all on “CB’s” and off we went at the same time. Needless to say my needle was at the six o’clock position when I took my foot out of it and Curtis was

the closest to me. Estimated between 135 and 140.

Young and foolish, lol.

In 'Tow' trim, But running on Atlus Bucrons the C made 2 passes
in the 16:50's. From what I understand for the 300 that is
pretty quick. Couldn't talk the guy with the shoe polish stick
into accepting that I shouldn't be in Super Stock since the car
was all standard equipment.
The 2x4 carbys wasn't 'optional' like the Gm or Fords that were
setup that way..
Was a good thing the C held up, since I had to tow the dragster
home at the end of the day. :-)
