Back in the beginning of the Century, I sold auto-body supplies in New England from a branch outlet of a company based in Providence RI. Two of my customers were Bob Bahre Classic Auto Body in Oxford ME who restored the most incredibly rare (i.e. expensive) cars I have ever seen. and Paul Russell in Essex MA who restored all of Ralph Loren's Ferraris at the time. Both used the Glasurit paints that we sold. Two other lesser known restoration shops in Maine also used Glasurit exclusively Sikkens is also a high quality paint. If a painter is used to that brand, go for it . If you find a painter who uses Glasurit, go for that. Better to use what the painter is accustomed to than have him use something different .. Both brands should be able to formulate a paint based on a photo scan and both brands should give excellent results. Personally I wouldn't bother with an extra can. Keep the formula and it can always be duplicated. One man's opinion!
