Ran across what sure looks like a 55-56 vintage intake mannyfold. It has a square carb mounting base and small holes. Do any of the 300 intakes of that vintage have what I would say was a staggered mounting, the back carbby sitting higher then the front carbby?? What I picked up (to test) was/is cast iron rather then a reproduction or after market aluminum intake. All I know for sure is that an automotive version for the 57-58 intakes is that both carbs sit on the same plane, and the holes for the carb throats are bigger then the mannyfold in question. thanks -- Paul Holmgren "The apparent lesson of the Inquisition is that insistence on uniformity of belief is fatal to intellectual, moral and spiritual health." -The Uses Of The Past-, Herbert J.
