Re: [Chrysler300] C Parts Wanted

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the clarification. I kind of figured that they were something to do with the air cleaners I just never heard the term Air Cans.

Merry Christmas to you and your family   !!!

Charlie,
They are the oval ends of the unique C air cleaner assembly on the dual carbs.  The air filter is oval and fits in the end of the arm that connects to the top of the carb and has an end plate of smaller dimension that is secured to the “can” enabling air to be sucked in around the perimeter of the filter element.  The last I priced a pair it was $3000 unpainted.  The whole assembly has to be purchased for each carb.  Hope this clarifies your understanding! Happy Holidays!  Rob Kern

What in the world are Air Cans ? I have never ever heard that term before. I guess you are never too old to learn something new.

Merry Christmas to the entire 300 family.

Hello, buddy of mine restoring an 300C cupe. Made a lot of work on it for having it back to original. To start with wrong engine intake carbs interior etc. Mostly car is back on track, however now he is looking for a set of original air cans!
Anyone having a set laying in the bank?
Thanks Michael
