Re: [Chrysler300] 61 G dashboard

Marilyn,
I fully agree with Bob J - install all the components on the dash before you install the dash - without question. All the fasteners will be better secured and components aligned. Also make sure the heater fan and cover is installed before the dash. If your console is also installed, access to install items on the backside of the dash is that much more challenging.

I’m having a major challenge with my F in trying to remove my shorting-out heater fan motor and its cover, with my dash and console in place. I’ve removed my glovebox, radio speaker and heater controls, and may end up dismantling more items to pull the fan and fix this problem.

When reinstalling the dashboard is it better to just put in the basic shell and then add all the components or should some things like the glove box, radio be added to the basic shell and then reinstalled?  We have seen pictures of rebuilds showing some both ways.....any advice is appreciated.

If I have stated my question in a confusing manner please feel free to clarify anything....I continue to swim in unfamiliar water for sure!
