Re: [Chrysler300] AFB Bowl Volume - '61 G with base engine (375 HP)

Hi John,

I went to get my ‘63 Chrysler out of storage. It started fine but only kept running 30 sec or less. When I activated the electric fuel pump, there was a knocking noise much louder than usual. I have never replaced the filter and there is no gas getting to the mechanical pump. Is the knocking noise a sign that the fuel filter is plugged?  I can always bypass it but that will Be next week.

We have the pump in stock (FEP12S).  Cost is $36.69 + shipping.

Phone 800 421-2011 to place an order.  I'm leaving the office in a few minutes heading east to NY for the meet.  Give anyone who answers the phone the part # listed and they'll get you fixed up.  I've had one on our F for probably 20 years and it never lets me down.

Mark,

It's not worth the trouble. Just install an electric fuel pump by the tank,
with a little push button under the dash. Push to pump up, hit the key, and
it starts right up. No opening the hood, spilling gas, removing the air
cleaners, etc. I got my last pump from John Lazenby, nice small unit, solid
state and alcohol resistant.

Does anyone know the volume of fuel that goes into the bowls when they
are assembled? My G sits too long between runs so I wanted to fill the
bowls through the vent to reduce crank time. I have a small oral syringe
(the condiment bottle was too big for the vent holes) and have tried
putting in 30CC per carb with little effect.
