Dang, that is a good question and I don't know the answer so I grabbed the infrared and the L and went for a drive. 185 I'll leave it for you to decide if that was my top speed or the temp at the top tank. The factory service manual says the thermostat should be a 180 and my records say I put a new 180 in some years ago so I have to think an infrared temp gauge reading of 185-190 range is spot on.
