Hi In my opinion I would pay all the money the rebuilder wants even though he highly underestimated the costs. I think if the engine is ready to install (with the carburetors restored and calibrated, initial cam break in and so on) I assume USD 9000 to 9500.- is realistic. Please keep in mind that I'm living in Switzerland. I have to let restore the engine at a professionals as well. My plan is to restore only the long block engine (/w no intake, exhaust, generator, water pump). In Switzerland I have to think about roughly 12k to 15k only for that work. If I were you I would be happy and pay the balance with no discussion the more you found an excellent early mopar engine wizard I could not find in my country. Dieter On 28.03.2016 05:28, Steve Albu
