The "1" at the beginning of the number indicates the decade the part was first used...in this case, the 1950s.  The second numeral, "9", indicates the actual year of the decade it was first used, in this case '59.  Chrysler used this system until around 1969, then skipped a couple of years to throw the ID system into disarray. Keep in mind the same part number might be used for several years in various Mopars.  dc

Hi Group,
Need help identifying a set of rear springs #1946113.
They came off of a 300H when I installed new Eaton springs.
They were rebuilt sometime in the past, but need to be re-arcked.
Does the 19 mean 1969?
