Yes, this is the proper part number for the 300J without A/C  (35 amp, single groove pulley).   A/C cars used 2098850 (40 amp, double groove pulley).

Hi,

I have an alternator that may need rebuilding.  Here is the PN and date code.  Mopar 2098830   48-62 

(I assume this was made the 48^th week of 1962?)  Is this the proper alternator for a 300J?
