Cold is an accommodation to easy, Easier to open, easier to adjust, and easier to close it back up. Less muss and fuss.
You could do the best job you can, cold and later after a week or so of use, check it hot and see if they are all the same. If so, then cold will work good for you. But it would be interesting to see how much difference there may or may not be for each valve. My early years of racing, when I was young, dumb and full of ...fun, that was the way we stayed out in front, tracking the little differences. Ray
