All, I've been using Redline additive for several years now. Easy to get, my local part store stocks it, about $10/ bottle, good for two changes. http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=121&pcid=21 I did notice that it thins out the oil a bit, and the pressure drops somewhat, so I go to a little heavier oil for those really hot summer days and use 20-50 with it. Bob J From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of MARK HOPKINS Hi Terry - the earlier email about Rotella's zinc content being reduced is correct. As well, remember that Rotella is formulated for diesel engines, meaning it has a very high detergent content. While a certain amount of detergent is inherent in all modern oils the amount required for diesels is considerably more, and can act as an abrasive in gasoline engines. It's therefore not a good idea to use Rotella in our old car engines. __._,_.___ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang __,_._,___ |
