Re: [Chrysler300] re dynomax exhaust system

Hi Fern - I have Dynomax dual exhausts (mufflers and 2.5" stainless pipes) on my '66 Charger and '66 Chrysler 300. (The 300F has what was on it when I bought it - not sure of the brand.) I also had Dynomax with 2.25" pipes on a '67 Barracuda I sold last spring. I'd say they're a good mid-priced system, and like that they're quiet when the cars are cruising at highway speeds, and have a throaty but not shrill sound under acceleration. The pipes seem to be holding their shape. I had to replace a set of cheaper pipes on my '66 Mustang (sorry, I have two of those too!) that collapsed at the bends after only a couple of years. Went with dual Magnaflows and 2.5" stainless pipes on that car. They've been good too, albeit a bit louder than the Dynomax.

Being in Canada, you and I get hosed on car parts and service. Expect to pay around $1,000 give or take for the complete dual system (stainless pipes from the manifolds back, two mufflers, and chrome tips)installed. From where you are, I suspect a quick trip to Coeur d'Alene or Spokane would save quite a lot - worth checking out.

Best regards,

Mark in Calgary

Has anyone on here had any experience good or bad with using the Dynomax 2 1/2 inch stainless steel dual exhaust including their stainless muffler on 1965 to 1973 chrysler? What is a fair price to pay for a complete dual exhaust system by Dynomax?
Thanks from Fern
