RE: [Chrysler300] I don't need alcohol to be happy

In Canada the high-test Shell is completely free of that ethanol poison.
It's only 91 octane , but my toys are very happy with it. Might be a
consideration for those who live close to the border.

Of course, you have to have a passport. Not to get into Canada but to
get back into your country

...continuing my 2 cents worth

I went to a garage tour at a fellow's home and dream garage years ago. He
had 20 or so fabulous cars in show condition from the 20's to the 50's.
Somebody at the get together asked him how do you keep them running so well?

His answer was "three things: Optima batteries, av-gas and driving them
regularly"

He lives a few miles from a small private airport and is able to fill up a
55 gallon barrel in his pick-up and then hand pumps it into the cars.

His advice (not mine)

Avgas DID NOT CAUSE your exhaust manifold gasket failure. Of course, if you
don't want to use avgas that's your choice. It's expensive.

I used av gas once.
Had to replace exhaust manifold gaskets the next week.
Didn't buy avgas a second time.
Best I can do is drive 35 miles to get 93 octane corn gas--which is better
than 91 corn gas.
