Tim: I believe the '55 C-300 had a similar problem in hard left turns-which must have been resolved on the NASCAR & AAA tracks. I've heard there was a TSB on the fix which MIGHT have been raising the float levels. My C-300 does not have that fix and will stall a little in 90-degree turns to the left only. I'm a little resistant to left turns myself. There being three elements of combustion, air, fuel & ignition-I'd expect a fuel problem as being most likely. However, there is a little wire inside the distributor connecting the dual points and I did experience an intermittent problem that was resolved by tightening the connections on this connector. Much easier with the distributor up front. I talked to an old Chrysler mechanic friend yesterday, and he had an immediate answer. It may not be the case, but in the day when these cars were nearly new, there was a similar problem of some rarity. The ignition coil would have low oil levels, and that would "slop" to the left when turning into a driveway, etc to the right. I would suggest, based on that comment, a swap of a known good coil and see if it makes a difference. Tim Tomlinson 300-K W. Central IL.
