Hello Steve,
When you remove your hubcap from the wheel, you'll see 3 small (1/4"  ??) hexhead screws to unscrew. Depending on how corroded your gear is on the inside, you may be fortunate enough to offer a "gentle" tap to the gear, loosen it, and then lift it off the hubcap. If yours are fairly heavily corroded, then you'll need to follow the procedure offered up by John Hertog in our website's archives. I replaced the 300 emblems and repainted the centers on mine last winter, and the disassembly went pretty smoothly.
