I looked at this car last weekend when it was on Craigslist for $2900 and 200 miles away from its current location & seller - the then-owner called me in desperation to offer it for $1900, and I still didn't think it was worth it...maybe for parts He obviously sold it to the current eBay seller. Some mental notes about it for those interested; The doors are not lining up properly to the rear quarters, first sign the unibody is sagging due to structural rust. The rocker panel shown with rust scared me away. The front top convertible bow is severely rusted on one end - I stuck my finger thru it and was welcomed with a shower of rust. The original windshield, otherwise ok, has a large bulls-eye stone chip in its center. It does run ok, surprisingly. All tires were flat, so it wasn't moving when I looked at it in its moist, deepwoods resting place. The brake pedal went right to the floor at that time. It was full of leaves when I looked at it. The center console was full of slimy rainwater. All that primer was done in the past few days, probably by the current seller -and I will wager that the current seller does not have the title in his own name - Florida doesn't move that fast. The steel behind the rear bumper is badly rusted - I'm uncertain how that bumper is secured to the car. The lower rear quarters are full of filler, ahead and behind the wheel openings. The front-end sheet metal is very nice, with no typical rust on the front lip of the hood. The trunk lid is similarly quite nice. 300ly, John Spiers ________________________________ From: Mwl1967 <mwl1967@xxxxxxx> To: edward1108@xxxxxxxxx; Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, October 2, 2012 7:45 PM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] 300K conv on eBay Nope, just a 120. The "J" was the last Letter with a 150mph speedo. I do have a Speedo from a '64 that goes to 200mph. Of course it doesn't say mph on it but it's obviously kmph. It looks cool though Mike Laiserin -----Original Message----- From: Val Jeffers <edward1108@xxxxxxxxx> To: Mwl1967 <mwl1967@xxxxxxx> Sent: Tue, Oct 2, 2012 4:39 pm Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] 300K conv on eBay Didn't The "K" have a 150 mph speedometer ? See the number 4 handwritten on the door? I've seen markings like that on my cars too. Any idea as to significance?
