Hi there. I agree that there were lots of Letter Cars in Auburn but there wasn't one that I would have said was a Number 1 car.. Personally I have been trying to buy the cars that are missing from my collection where I am trying to achieve a full set of Letter Cars starting in 1955 and ending in 1961 and it has been very frustrating trying to find great cars that are 100% correct and that retain their original drive train and original body and chassis and where both all major mechanical components and body panels are still the original ones which came with the car the day it left the factory. The other major obstacle is that restoring the cars through restoration shops has become so expensive and time consuming that I really need to find freshly restored cars where no corners have been cut and where Judges from the 300 Clubs have validated the restoration and the originality and correctness of all of the components.. As if all of this was not enough I insist on having all of the coupes with factory installed air conditioning. Please let me know if anybody knows of any cars that correspond to the above ... Thanks.. On Sun, Sep 2, 2012 at 12:18 PM, <lettercars@xxxxxxx> wrote: > ** > > > All: > That number is in our Club VIN list, owned (or last owned) in PA.
