[Chrysler300] 62 Newport Convertible

Hi everyone, 
If anyone is interested I went and looked at a 1962 Newport Convertible today. It's been sitting since 1968. Needs some work but overall it's in pretty decent condition. 
The car has a 361 engine with  44,613 miles on it and the last PA state inspection was in 1967-1968.
It's Red with Black interior and a black top. NO A/C. NO Power windows.
I didn't have the guy start it but he said the engine runs and sounds great.  The transmission needs to be rebuilt.
The car does have Power Steering and Power Brakes 
The trunk has rust on the inside but it's not rusted through.
The Right rear floor has some rust that is rusted through.
The front fenders have some surface rust spots and each has rust through in the lower dog legs. The fenders are very fixable.
I noticed a few garage dings on the right side door.
The interior is not too bad but it appears that some mice have chewed on a small portion of the back seat.
The convertible top will need to be replaced.

While it was last inspected in PA and it still has a PA License plate there is no title for car. After the car was parked in 1968, at some point the car was in Delaware. Not sure if the title was ever switched from PA to Delaware.

The guy is asking $2,000 for the car. I didn't ask if that was negotiable.


If I had the place to keep it and the funds to buy it, was laid off in 2009 and 2010 and again laid off since Oct. 2011, it would be mine.
