Re: [Chrysler300] Shocking lack of video

Exactly the way I did it with the F and H. (Keeping the shocks
compressed.) Gil C.

Paul,
My shocks came with a shipping strap wrapped around the top keeping the
shock compressed. I was able to get the bottom in place and the top stud in
the hole, then I cut the cord and let it expand. It worked out pretty well
although I had to pry the bottom into place to get the bolt in.

I installed gas shocks on my 300F about a year ago and had a tough time
getting the new shock in place because the gas shock wants to stay expanded.
Recently I rebuilt the suspension and left the shocks bolted in place at
the top and removed the lower control arms.

If you can justify it,unload the torsion bars and disconnect the lower
control arms at the ballpoint, shock installation is easier that way.
