Chrysler Canada had a long history of building models for the Canadian market that differed slightly from their US counterparts. In many cases it was about using available parts on body series that made that model more cost effective for the Canadian Market place. In particular in the late 50's ie 57 and 58 base model Plymouths had Dodge sheet metal on the front yet were badged as Plymouths, some critics refered to them as Plodges. In my home province of Newfoundland our dealers did not sell the Dodge 880 of 62-64 variety nor did they sell the resized 64 and 65 Coronets and Satelites. Valients were badged on both the Valient nad Dart body designs. Lots of differences for Chrysler products in the 60's here in Canada. (Published in 1976) Sure enough---and to my surprise---there was the production information on a 1962 Chrysler 300 four door SEDAN! Doing a bit more investigation, I consulted my copies of the 1962 "S" Series Model Charts. They, also, showed a four door sedan, BUT built in the Windsor Canada assembly plant, ONLY. This brought back dim memories of a Canadian only 1964 300 4 door sedan. Sure enough, my "V" Series Model Chart showed that one as well---Canada only. Langworth's book agrees. So, I think the answer is the 300 "Sport" 4 door sedan was manufactured in Canada only for the Canadian market. If one consults the parts book and the service manual, there is certainly no mention of it. Also, the Sales Folder for the 300H mentions just the 3 models of the sport series----definitely no sedan. Any of our Canadian members care to comment? 300ly, Gil Cunningham A beautiful cool morning in Tallahassee, sans TS Debbie!
