Sounds like the changeover to electric was from '64 to '65.  It would make sense since the basic body shell (and first unibody) was used from 1960 through 1964.  The sheetmetal changes from the Virgil Exner influence on the '60, '61 and '62, and the Elwood Engle influence on the '63 and '64 were quite major.  I think Engle should have spelled his name with an A (Angle) since most of his work was rather straight and angular.  Exner was the flamboyant one.  The '65 was a totally new design.
