[Chrysler300] F Hubcaps

Hello all - 



I've got our F hubcaps apart - question on repainting the centers:  Looking at the Club archives I see reference to Cummins' Apex Red #3163075 as the paint color for these centers, as well as for the crossrams. 

    • Is my understanding correct, that this Apex Red is the color to use for the hubcaps? 
    • What was the original paint finish - flat? semigloss? gloss? Paint on ours now is flat - looks to be factory original.   



Regarding the Gears - were these produced with some sort of factory protective finish? They're in very good condition, but do have a few dings that I'm thinking of sanding down. Am I better just leaving them be?
