All: 300D # LC4 1644 was NOT originally equipped with FI. 1644 first appeared in our Club lists in the early 80's. As noted, the individual front seats are not correct. That alternator sure does look out of place. Cannot understand why some think they are so superior to a generator. Everyone to his own, I guess. Must say, all that chrome looks out of place too! Otherwise, a beautiful car. Regarding the "bucket seat #1 300C". There is an advertising picture of #1 300C taken from a high angle that shows the car to have the standard bench seat. Wayne Graefen discovered this many years ago when we were trying to sort out the buckets which were, and still are, in 3N57 1001. The car in the picture is the same as the beach pictures of #1---same people in the car, dressed the same way. Whether Chrysler later experimented with buckets in that car, or someone else did, remains unknown. For those who still hav e their Chrysler 300 Club News, Vol.1, No 3, (yeh, right!) that picture was reproduced on its back cover. 300ly, Gil Cunningham In a message dated 10/22/2011 11:25:55 A.M. Last owner we show is Joseph Cowen, TX. Prior to that Bill Davis was the owner. If Kizziar owned the car, he never registered with the club. Don was from Altus, Oklahoma. I recognize the seats from the head rests. If it is the same car, the seats are a retrofit bucket set up and certainly not original. The other interesting fact about this car is that it may be one of the original FI Ds that was retrofitted with carburetion. It emerged from Texas before going to Kizzar. The bumper fit in the front looks the same. It appears to have had a cosmetic sprucing up since I saw it in Don’s collection 3 years ago this month. Gloria Moon would be able to confirm via VIN if this was the Kizzar car. My best opinion on where it came from. 300’ly, Rob Kern From: Larry Jabin Sent: Friday, October 21, 2011 4:34 PM To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Chrysler300] 300D for sale on Ebay Has anybody seen this car before & what's with the seats http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrysler-300-Series-STUNNING-1958-CHRYSLER-30 0D-2-DOOR-HARDTOP-FACTORY-AIR-CONDITIONING-LOW-MILES-/390358082135?pt=US_Car s_Trucks&hash=item5ae327a257 Larry Jabin mailto:Larry%40pwbsfo.com<mailto:mailto:L.jabin1007%40pwbsfo.com> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
