Tony and All: Since my name was mentioned, guess I better reply!! My feedback on the American Classics is still "somewhat mixed". I equipped the 300F with a set of P235/75R14s before the Spring 2009 meet in Lancaster, PA. I had them road load balanced locally. Driving back to the house I immediately noticed they were not as smooth as the 20-25 year old 9.00X14 Goodriches that I just had taken off! A little discouraging. However, we did drive up to the Meet (from Tallahassee, FL) without tire trouble. After the visit to the AACA museum, we stopped by the American Classic store in Hershey. They couldn't have been more helpful, re balancing all four tires, and eventually replacing 3. There was an improvement in the roughness, and we drove back home without incident. However, the tires are definitely not smooth. Greatest "roughness" is probably between 45 and 65 or so. So, it is possible to do the highway speeds in some comfort. I have decided to just "suck it up" and live with it. Hopefully, they will do me right in case of failure. Obviously, I can't give a whole hearted recommendation. They do look very nice and handle well. While at the store, I was told the tires were made using Michelein molds in Pennsylvania, I believe. Hope this is of some help. Gil Cunningham in rainy (finally!) Tallahassee, FL In a message dated 3/25/2011 6:56:18 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, awrdoc@xxxxxxxxx writes: Hi to all, After gathering orders for 100 sets of tires from Club members in order for Coker to make us 235/75R14 WWW tires, they sold out and will not make another run since American Classic started making the same size (narrow & wide WW) and they sell them too. Coker also ran the same size tires in 1" WW and still have some in stock....... That's it for the 235/75R14s. Honestly, these Coker tires were good although they needed to be "leaded up" to balance. They were made in Mexico. Unlike the 235/75R15 tires where some had tread separation and bubbles form, I have heard nothing but good things from those that bought the the 14" versions. Well, at least not to my face! My tires have about 20,000 miles and still look pretty good. Feedback from Gil Cunningham has been somewhat mixed regarding his experience with his American Classics. I will let him speak for himself. Having finishing an engine and transmission redo, my "F" has size envy of its cousin "G". It tells me size does matters but it like its original hubcaps. Bigger is better! Dan Reitz, many years ago came up with an idea to cut rims from 14" wheels and weld them into 15" wheels and wrote a great how-to article: http://www.chrysler300club.com/jhstuff/61disc/nean4.htm I wanted to post this once I photographed my "F" with it's new bigger wheels and tires mounted but this ongoing thread needs this input for those who want to go to 15" wheels but want to run their 14" hubcaps. If you go to: http://gallery.me.com/awrdoc#100126 Click once to enlarge, click again to go back to other picture. You will see Stockton Wheel's new Dan Reitz 15" wheels built for a 14" hubcap but professionally done. Mine were powder coated and 7" wide. My 14" hubcap is secured in place in the second picture. If you have a 1960 you need 4 large bumps (Hold regular hubcaps on and do not get in the way of the claws of the "F" hubcaps). All other years have 2 small bumps on either side of the valve stem (anti rotational). I don't think their website shows or lists the wheel. http://stocktonwheel.com/index.php Frank Mauro <Sales1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> (800) 395-9433 Since I need the 2" WWW, I went with Diamondback. They put the WWW on beautiful Michelin 235/75R15 tires. If you need 1" WWs, you have many economical choices. Even Sears can help you. Hope this helps.
