[Chrysler300] jet removal AFB



If all else fails, you will have to drill it out. No hand drilling. needs to
clamp to a drill table, select the drill size that is used for the taped
threads. I beleive most jets are 5/16-18. You can thread a bolt in one that
the jet is out to confirm. Drill dead center of the jet, a little ea. time.
Back the drill out and you will see when through bottom of jet. Now you can
pick out the remaining brass in the threads. I have a very sharp awl that
one end has a right angle bend. I can work that around the threads in a
circular motion. Not wise to pick down at the threads.

  The brass is so soft on some jets I am not sure an easy out will work,
might keep peeling brass.  Gary is right  that heat and maybe some
penetrating solution might be the next step.  I recently freed up an old 2
bbl Carter tha was completely frozen.  Took a couple of weeks of heating
with a torch and PB Blaster then letting it cool, over and over.  Eventually
the shafts started to loosen and now it works smoothly.

    Still probably have to drill out the hole to accept the easy out. I
    would try a left handed drill, might come out as you drill.
