Re: [Chrysler300] Flat spots in G acceleration

Howdy,

Not sure what you mean by flat spots. When I was
racing my 67 GTX, at one time it would take off,
then go flat for a second, then take off again,
then go flat etc. The flat spots felt like the
brakes had been applied. I finally traced it to
a bad fuel pump push rod. After replacing the
mechanical fuel pump, then finally installing a
Holley electric, I found that it went good with
the electric on and not so good with only the
mechanical pump on. A new rod (the old one was
mushroomed over a little and hard to get
out) fixed the problem. I always raced with
both the electric and mechanical pumps after that but that was just insurance.
