    Did your body man cover the glass with a welding blanket before starting the 
    floor work ? If not, it is likely that a spark hit the glass, possibly 
    causing a small crack which spread rapidly with the temperature change. 
    Lesson learned: remove glass or cover completely with a welding blanket. 
    Even if it doesn't break, sparks will leave divots in the glass. I ruined a 
    perfect solex W453 windshield that way.

    Just FYI, Murray Park passed a few months ago.
