Freeze the pin prior to installing it and warm the end of the driveshaft it will slide instead of jumping. The cold contracts the pin and the heat expands the hole your shoving it into. I crushed the first socket I used as a driver before it moved. It's also very hard to get it perfectly in the middle like the manual suggests. It likes to "jump" instead of moving smoothly. If it wasn't an extremely tight fit, I doubt it could take the stress it's under. 300ly, Don ----- Original Message ----- From: Ronald Kurtz To: chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2010 2:58 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] Ball & Trunnion Pin Hello, everyone: I am replacing worn ball and trunnion parts and applied 10 tons of pressure on the pin to remove it. It is not coming out. How much pressure can be used without breaking the drive shaft?
