[Chrysler300] Radiator core fins on 300D

Everyone was so helpful on my stainless trim quest, I thought I'd try a
question I had on my radiator which I'm about to send out for repair. I
believe I have the correct unit...part number (1754873) and date code B8 (car was
built in March 58). However the core fins on it are different from other
Chrysler radiators I've seen. I just assumed it was improperly recored at
some point, but in Wayne Graefen's 300C handbbook he mentions the correct style
core as being "straight fin" or SF. That is exactly what i would call the
fins on mine--they go the full length horizontally across the tubes.
But all the cars I see (including the 57 and 58 Windsors I have) have the
fins that zig zag back and forth between the tubes and are flush with the
edges of the tubes. I wouldnt think you'd call that style "straight fin". I
was wondering if the 300 had a unique radiator core versus the other Chysler
cars.
Any thoughts?
