RE: [Chrysler300] carb rebuilds

I tend to agree with Dave. I rebuilt my 2903s carbs on my G in the late
'70s with over the counter zip kits from the local parts store, myself.
These were the first 4bbl carbs I had ever done, but I followed the
directions carefully, step by step, and they are still working perfectly on
the car 30 years later. Things that can't be fixed with a kit are parts
like the throttle shaft being worn that allow air leaks, these must be
re-bushed and best left to a specialist rebuilder.

I think a lot of the problem lies with the fact, at least in my case, that
many of these carbs are just plain "worn out" and suffering from worn
throttle shafts that neeed to be bushed back to proper clearances, and
linkage pivot points that are shot.
