[Chrysler300] Re: Hood Insulation

James and Mike,
I used a 3M spray on adhesive but have now disposed of the can so can't tell you exactly which product. Though I do recall some verbiage on the can mentioned it was intended to install vinyl tops, among other uses. Bought it at the local auto paint store.

Results have been very good so far. After 4 years, about 10,000 miles, and speeds above 80 MPH it shows no sign of coming off. Assuming you are going to do this with the hood installed on the car, you will need to be careful to cover the engine compartment and both fenders to protect from dripping adhesive. It can be a little drippy when it first goes on, then starts to harden up after a few minutes.
