When faced with the same issue about 8 months ago I opted for the Mallory electronic distributor with Tach drive for the RB Chrysler engines. Its the only non original piece on my car but I wanted reliability.

Good Morning Group,
I need to have the distributor from my F rebuilt. Is there a 
recommendation as to who does this reliably? I am very suspicious of 
the tach drive part but may have other issues as well. It's one of the 
few things not rebuilt on this car.
