It has been so many years since I removed a window motor but I kind of remember clamping vise grips somewhere in there to keep things where they are and prevent any movement. later in the day I can see what the Service manual says. Thanks Rich and Fern, I was running my finger along the crank arm and felt all those teeth so im assuming its that which would have severed me pinky? I had both bolts loose today and something told me to stop and ask the question on the 300 forum first - LUCKY indeed! Ill try and find some literature on how to do it correctly first. The window is in the down position so im assuming this is the danger zone? It's a very dangerous procedure so wear gloves to protect your valuable fingers. Jeff: Be sure to wait until you receive or obtain proper guidance on this job. It seems I have read that the stored energy in window regulator springs can remove or damage important parts of your body. Hi all, Was on a run last night and my electric motor in the window winder has burnt out and i have taken the door lining off and all handles etc, but my question is - is there an easy way of removing the motor and is it just 2 bolts and it comes out. Its for a 1965 300L drivers side door window with the 4 window controler. The controller works the other 3 windows but not the drivers side(i think it got stuck in the down motion for a few hours and just burnt the motor or wiring out. any help apreciated by those who have done this exact job previouosly. I just want to be sure before i tackle it and stuff something up. cheers Jeff Australia ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/Yahoo!
