1) It seems the only suggested source for 1957 300C body mount rubber set is Gary Goers - what is the best phone number and time of day other 300 members have found to try to get a quick reply/result - or an email or fax number that works quickly? 2) Finished frame is finally back on wheels last night, but before I refit motor and trans as one before lower body back on, am this a/noon going to drop the sump on motor, and if as suspected motor has not been looked at since Briggs Cunningham refitted it prior to it's drag days late 57/58, the rod bearings may be acid/age effected, and it good insurance I replace them. I intend to drive the car pretty hard, for sure try and see by how much it will top the 150mph it got at Daytona before Cunningham later set the motor up properly, so I am wary of putting in maybe not so high quality 'modern generic 392 bearings', as some other members warned me about, as supplied by popular mass volume engine rebuild supply Co? So any suggestions re brands/sources for good 392 rod bearings, and/or are good brand nos bearings, likely from the 60s -70s, a safer alternative, or are later supposed bettter tech brands, such as for example King bearings, OK/better? Christopher Australia 3) ps are the 3 bolted on small right angle steel brake hose brackets used on 300C frame black color, natural, whatever? and bumper bar brackets are usually painted, natural - whatever? A quick answer on brake hose brackets appreciated, as all brake line stuff fitted up, brackets primed, and only needing color before clipping flexible hoses into them. _________________________________________________________________ Messenger's gift to you!
