RE: [Chrysler300] 300G Across America

Cruisin for a Cure is the largest success story for prostate cancer; a main
focus is
to get men to have routine PSA tests beginning at age 40. Yes, that's age
40, not
age 50. The PSA test is a simple blood test that if done routinely, can
detect prostate
cancer by the amount of change since your last test. It is critical to
establish an early
base line because the most tragic prostate cancer deaths are in relatively
young men
in their 50's with LOW PSA scores. If you have your first PSA test at age
50, the result
may look within age adjusted averages, but you may already have agressive
prostate cancer.
A 55 year old friend of mine just died with exactly that scenario 3 years
after detection and
surgery. My prostate cancer case was detected the same time as his, our
PSA's were
very close (3.5-4), both of our cancers had spread outside the prostate, we
had the same surgical
team at the same hospital within a week of each other, but I got lucky. My
cancer was
mildly agressive, and his was very agressive. I'm doing fine, and he is
dead.

I'm on my soap box because men all over the US should be taking care of
themselves like
women do with breast cancer. Breast and prostate kill roughly the same
number in each sex.
So men, get your PSA test every year starting at age 40. Tell your friends,
too; you may be
saving their life!

  Good Evening,

While some of you were driving to Maine for what sounds like a very nice
meet, I was
driving my G (one of the rare white ones) to Southern California. This was
a good trip and
mostly uneventful except for electrical problems in Abilene, TX and a VERY
hot journey
through the desert (after Yuma, it was brutal).

I am doing this for my dad. He and I will fly out to San Diego this coming
Thursday. We
will do the "Cruisin' for a Cure" show in Orange County on the 27th. We
will then drive the
car back to Columbus, Ohio (home) via an as yet undetermined route.

i have created the following web site to chronicle the trip home as well
the trip West which
  i did solo.

  http://www.dicksrub.com

Please feel free to check it out. I will update it daily after Sept. 25th.

If you are a SoCal resident and going to the show, contact me off of
server, perhaps we
  can connect.

  Best regards,

  Richard Osborne
