RE: [Chrysler300] Overfill on Torqueflight

Using a suction device they may be able to draw out enough fluid through the dipstick tube with a long hose? This method is often used to replace fluids in axle housings and gearboxes etc.

Any time I have a trans pan off a car I like to add a drain plug. It's sure a lot easier and less messy to maintain. Not sure why more vehicles don't come with trans drains? Perhaps someone out there knows. I always just assumed it was because of the low frequency of fluid changes and the fact that it's always good practice to pull the pan and change the filter, gasket, and inspect. Ryan Hill

Hi,I had the ATF drained yesterday and refilled with Type F ATF.The pan gasket was leaking, so I had that done and replaced the filter.Upon inspection of the dipstick, it looks like they filled it about 1 inch over the max full line.I assume this is not good, so I am going to bring it back. This problem is in addition to them breaking the spring for the Shifter/Park Lever.Should I ask them to drain the torque converter to remove the fluid or any other suggestions?300ly,Mark Lindahl'63 300 Conv.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
