Mike and All: There is no VIN on the 300K engine or transmission. Date should be before the car was assembled, of course! The last 300 model where the engine number can be tied to a specific car per the microfilm is the 300D. 300ly, Gil Cunningham Another perfect day to Tallytown, FL In a message dated 5/26/2008 2:40:57 AM Eastern Daylight Time, mwl1967@xxxxxxx writes: OK group, I don't think I've seen this before but what exactly is numbers matching on our letter cars. On the newer MoPars I think '69 and newer there is the vin # or part of the sequence stamped on both the engine block and the side of the transmission. On my '64 the ID pad has C300K and a date. Should there be a vin on the block and trans also? Thanks, Mike Laiserin **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food.
