Howdy, I took the gas tank out of the G convertible this weekend (this is a very rusty restoration project). It had a couple of gallons of something that used to resemble gasoline sloshing around. I laid it on each side and could not detect any leakage. Could I be lucky enough to have a solid tank? Never had to repair/replace a tank due to rust. Although the trunk floor is very rusty, the pad between tank and floor looks great. I'll get it boiled/cleaned out, do these tend to rust from inside out?
