Re: [Chrysler300] Gear Reduction Starter in a '61



Thanks to All who responded. Obviously I had a major brain fade and failed to consider the diffferences in transmissions which allowed the use of the later starter.

Oh well, had the old one rebuilt with more torque. It spun the brute over fast even in 15F degree temperatures.

Can a later model gear reduction starter bolt into the '61 413?

I didn't think of comparing until after I bolted the original rebuilt starter back into the G.

Man, those originals are heavy!
