I see a lot of interest on here regarding auction results here in Scottsdale. I know as an automotive hobbiest it is very exciting to watch these events. But I do so with realistic intentions, I cannot believe that anyone would take the B/J auction prices seriously. This is nothing but a dog and pony show for the rich and famous. Fact is you can look at Ebay or even Hemmings and purchase the majority of these cars for 50% less. Current market values are the statistics one needs to pay attention to. On a lighter note I attended another auction here in Scottsdale instead. Gooding and Company, was a high end sophisticated event. And low and behold among million dollar Duesenbergs, Packards and classic Ferraris was a lone 300 G. We have finally arrived..
