My 3 speed Newport had one with an underdash unit, and I deep-sixed it with no regrets. Yes, the old RV2 is what we are used to looking at; however, the very superior performance and small size of a modern Sanden compressor would be the way to go, in my opinion. After all, if it isn't factory installed, then why not go with something efficient and less power robbing? Classic Auto Air in Florida manufactures and sells a bracket for the installation of a Sanden compressor on a Chrysler big block. And there's a cool Mopar Muscle article on this conversion: _http://www.moparmushttp://www.mhttp://wwwhttp://wwwhttp://www.mohttp://www.m_ (http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/howto/16478_air_conditioning_refurbishing) If you're trying not to clutter up the engine compartment and decide to us the Sanden compressor you might want to check out _http://bouchillonperformance.com_ (http://bouchillonperformance.com) . They've got a bracket set which will hang the Sanden underneath your alternator. I've purchased the kit but haven't installed it yet. It seems like a nice idea if you don't want to detract attention from your crossrams or inline dual quads. Mike Laiserin ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
