Warren, What did I miss? I haven't seen posts recently about seized fasteners. Was this on another list maybe? Just found a can of CRC 'Freeze-Off' out in the shop. New to me. Just finished with a 'rust bucket'. Randy says it does help but in some cases he would expect that quite a bit of one can might be needed to effectively freeze and crack the rust. The heat technique works to release rusted together screwed fasteners just fine but damage to surrounding things might be a serious consideration. Products like PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench sometimes work but after a long soak of everything liquid I could find and my 3/4" impact rated at 1000 ft-lbs., I took heat to 5 Budd nuts on a dump truck and they then let go and backed off. Didn't know about the Freeze-Off to try it yesterday. Other guys used Freeze-Off on exhaust fasteners and some other small stuff on a rusty pickup and it did work.
