Re: [Chrysler300] Rusty plastic?

Hi John,

I've never had that problem before , but there is also a product called "CLR" ( Calcium, Lime, Rust ). I know that we bought a bottle from Walmart. Not sure if it is the right product or not. You may wnat to try a litle on an older, junk, lens to see if it reacts with the palstic. Or...if you want me to try that just let me know.
The bottle does say do not use on plastic laminates and Formica. Altough the lense is plastic, it's not really a plastic laminate.

I just put some on an old printer cartridge and nothing happen.

Anyway, this is a product that is made to remove rust, but you may have to ba careful using it. Hope this helps !!!

It was so nice today , I had the Convert. out today.

  Any suggestions as to how to remove rust stains from clear, front parking
  light lenses? these stains are on the inside of the lenses, both sides;
  and both lenses are in MINT condition - except for the stains. My low
  mileage 300F convert. sat in a moist garage for a couple decades, and water
  seeped around the housings, into the lenses. I'd like to save them and
  reuse them, as they are original to the car. I have tried soaking in
  water, scrubbing with various kitchen cleaning stuff and soft bristle brush,
  all to no avail. Don't want to use too harsh an abrasive or too hard a
  brush so as not to scuff up the plastic. Anyone dealt with this before, or
  knows what specific stuff will dissolve rust stains?

  Thanks in advance
